1. Amperage Check
Check if the amperage of the current sensors and the current sensor cables match the electric motor. The image below shows the appropriate sensor size for different amperage ranges.
2. Connecting to the DAQ
Plug the connectors of the current sensor cables into the corresponding ports of the DAQ and route the sensor cables to the corresponding phase wires of the motor.
Notice Plugging a connector into the wrong port on the DAQ is prevented by red insert pieces in the connectors. The current sensor connects only to the
corresponding port on the DAQ.
3. Positioning the Sensor
Open the bayonet coupling of the current sensor. Position the current sensor around the phase wire. A sticker on the current sensor shows the correct orientation.
4. Closing the Sensor
Close the current sensor by pressing the bayonet coupling shut. The current sensor will now hang loosely around the phase wire.
Notice For multiple phase wires, place the sensor around a single wire per phase.
